Bangalore, India, September 12, 2012 -- India's IT and IT Services companies will have a rare opportunity to learn from M&A experts on how to capture enterprise  value through cross-border transactions at an exclusive conference entitled: Cross-Border M&A: Capturing Value for Indian IT Firms. The conference will be held on October 3, 2012 at the ITC Windsor in Bangalore.
The event will bring together leading players in cross-border transactions, assisted by Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC). The event comes at a critical time for India's IT Services companies. Analysis published in August 2012 by martinwolf M&A Advisors in the first India Edition of its proprietary MW IT Index revealed that for the period from January 1, 2011 to August 1, 2012, valuations for Tier I Indian IT companies (USD 500 million in annual revenue and up) fell 15.6% and valuations for Tier II companies (under USD 500 million in annual revenue) dropped 24.9%.
According to Marty Wolf, "IT companies in India are at crossroads and must develop new strategies for capturing value. The days of easy organic growth or growth through small, tuck-in acquisitions are over. In the future, companies must move up the value chain or become highly specialized to optimize value.
