MILPITAS, Calif., July 31, 2012 -- Aryaka, the world's first cloud Relevant Products/Services-based WAN optimization as-a-Service solution, today announced that SL Power Electronics, a division of SL Industries (NYSE MKT: SLI) and an industry leader in the design and manufacturer of industrial and medical power supplies, replaced its MPLS deployment worldwide with Aryaka's optimized network Relevant Products/Services to speed applications for improved file sharing and increased productivity gains.

An industry leader in the design and manufacture of medical power supplies, SL Power was facing the challenge of engineers in mainland China attempting long haul access to critical business applications, mainly SolidWorks, centralized at the U.S. headquarters. Although the company had dedicated MPLS links in place, application performance remained poor and file sharing slow because of high latency, an unstable network and bandwidth issues. The company considered WAN optimization appliances but found them to be too costly and complex to implement. The cloud offered a better alternative.

"We chose Aryaka's WAN optimization as-a-Service because it eliminated the need for additional IT infrastructure Relevant Products/Services at remote Relevant Products/Services locations," said Greg Wade, SL Power's IT Director. "Once we deployed the Aryaka solution, we saw a dramatic increase in application response time -- from hours to seconds. The Aryaka stable core network enabled our engineers in China to more quickly access their day-to-day business applications from California for improved productivity to get our products to market faster."

"It's all about the simplicity we provide, in bringing employees, data Relevant Products/Services and applications closer to each other from around the world," said Ajit Gupta, Founder, President and CEO of Aryaka. "As more companies expand globally and use resources from different economies, they leverage Aryaka to cut costs and avoid investing in costly and complex appliances and dedicated links."

Aryaka provides SL Power:
• 90% CIFS compression
• 60% application acceleration
• 80% peak compression rate
• Stable core latency between locations
