Broomfield, Colorado –- August 8, 2012 –- Laconic Security, LLC, an innovator in providing solutions to address the vacuum in cloud Relevant Products/Services data Relevant Products/Services security, announces the launch of Laconic Vaults. The company's premier offering is an encrypted cloud storage and team collaboration Relevant Products/Services solution, designed specifically for business collaboration. Accessed via a simple network Relevant Products/Services drive, Laconic Vaults allows organizations to access, control, collaborate, and store data in the cloud seamlessly and securely.

Laconic Security's new solution is designed to ensure that organizations have complete control of their data, which is critical to maintaining the protection and integrity of their information assets. The company has coined the term "Cloud Gap" to address the risk associated with traditional cloud services. Today, cloud data is typically secured in transit and at rest. However, there is a "gap" in which data is in plain text between secure Relevant Products/Services transmission (SSL) and at-rest encryption (AES) making it susceptible to loss or mishandling. Laconic Vaults uses strong asymmetric encryption to provide end-to-end security for data in the cloud and protect Relevant Products/Services organizations from the "Cloud Gap."

Laconic Vaults is targeted for companies who would like to take advantage of cloud cost savings while being assured their data is highly secure. Laconic Vaults also allows companies to easily extend access to their highly secure data to partners, clients and vendors with their patent-pending encrypted collaboration solution.

"One of the key benefits of Laconic Vaults is that only our clients have the keys to their data," said Chris Calvert, co-founder and chief executive officer of Laconic Security. "Through implementation of asymmetric encryption, which makes data unreadable to anyone who doesn't have both a private and public key, neither Laconic nor our clients' cloud storage providers can ever access organizations' data."

"We have taken strong encryption, a complex technology, and made it incredibly simple for our clients to use," Calvert added.
